The influence of component defect states on bandgaps of 2D composite beam frame structures

This paper investigates the vibration bandgap properties of two-dimensional (2D) periodic composite beam frame structures with component defects. Combined topological characteristics structure, a generalized position coordinate system is proposed, and an assembly method stiffness matrix for virtual full model presented. Then spectral equations motion whole 2D ones defects are established. Compared frequency-domain solutions calculated using finite element method, accuracy feasibility (SEM) verified. It can be shown that SEM suitable analyzing properties, influence different their combination on studied. The results show forbidden gap splitting will occur in main but degree varies. also unsymmetrical or irregular positions bandgaps greater than one symmetrical regular positions.
